Ready to take the lead on a high-profile infrastructure project in the South of England? We're looking for a Freelance Senior Engineer to play a key role in the early stages of a Bridge Replacement scheme that will transform a critical route in East Sussex.

Based in East Sussex this is a hands-on, site-focused role where you'll oversee essential pre-construction engineering activities.
You'll be instrumental in setting the project up for success, taking ownership of:
·Pre-construction engineering (ITPs, material take-offs, TQs/RFIs)
·Early site establishment, setting out, and control points
·As-built surveys and daily site records
·Permit to break ground processes
·QA documentation and drawing reviews
·Supporting RAMS, site supervision, and material testing
The project itself involves replacing an existing bridge with a modern one. Most of the responsibility will be for the early stages of the project, including sheet piling, reinforced concrete, drainage, and landscaping.

·Lead from the front on a technically diverse civil engineering scheme
·Work across multiple disciplines including structural and highways
·Build momentum with a 3-month contract and strong potential for extension
·Take ownership of early-stage delivery where your impact is highly visible
We're looking for someone who brings:
·Strong technical expertise in setting out, surveys, and QA processes
·Confidence in site supervision and decision-making
·Experience with drawing reviews, TQs/RFIs, and CAD
·A proactive, detail-focused approach to engineering delivery
Essential: CSCS
Desirable: EUSR Cat & Genny, First Aid, SSSTS
