  • Undertake regular environmental inspections, audits and site surveillance to identify and mitigate environmental risks, including pollution prevention measures
  • Deliver toolbox talks and training to raise environmental awareness across site teams
  • Report, investigate and close out environmental incidents and near misses, ensuring learning and corrective actions are implemented

Sustainability Responsibilities (Embedded Within the Role)

  • Support delivery of the project’s sustainability commitments, including:

  • Demonstrable experience as an Environmental Manager or Senior Environmental Consultant within construction, infrastructure, energy or related sectors, with significant exposure to sustainability delivery on live projects
  • Strong understanding of environmental management and compliance requirements on construction sites, including working within environmental permits, consents and management systems
  • Practical experience supporting or delivering sustainability initiatives within construction environments, such as carbon reduction, resource efficiency, circular economy or biodiversity measures
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with delivery teams and supply chain partners, influencing behaviours and driving compliance and performance on site
  • Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple activities and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver briefings, toolbox talks and produce clear documentation
