Senior Estimator – Social Housing & Construction

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in construction and social housing to join our clients growing London team. You’ll play a pivotal role in securing new work, shaping bid strategy, and ensuring accurate, commercially sound cost planning across a diverse portfolio of refurbishment and new‑build housing projects.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Planning — Produce detailed cost estimates for social housing and construction schemes from early feasibility through to final tender.

Tender Management — Lead the preparation, submission, and negotiation of competitive tenders.

*

Risk Analysis — Identify project risks, opportunities, and value‑engineering options.

*

Stakeholder Collaboration — Work closely with project managers, QS teams, designers, and supply chain partners.

*

Market Intelligence — Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of London construction costs, supply chain conditions, and social housing frameworks.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within social housing, refurbishment, or main contracting.

*

Strong understanding of London‑based construction markets and frameworks (e.g., D&B, JCT).

*

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and client requirements with precision.

*

Excellent commercial judgement and negotiation skills.

*

Proficiency with estimating software and digital take‑off tools.

*

A proactive, analytical mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions and drive value.
