Investing in managing people and helping junior team members grow their skills.Proven experience in exhibitions & conference event management, ideally with a corporate background.3 years previous experience at Event Operations/Event Logistics Manager level working in Europe & North America.Key responsibilitiesEfficient and creative delivery of all operational aspects of Shoptalk Europe & Fall showsTake on the full operational delivery of the event; devise and manage an operational plan to cover full process from concept to planning and deliveryEnsure problem free planning, build-up, open days and breakdown for the eventFormulate and control the operational budget in partnership with the VP Logistics and Head of Commercial OperationsProvide operational advice and assistance to the sales, content and marketing teams working with them to ensure their onsite requirements are flawlessly deliveredWork closely with the AV supplier to ensure exceptional production and management of content areasManage floorplan layouts in partnership with the Head of Commercial Operations ensuring they are correct according to all venue regulations and are in line with the event strategyCreating and executing a premium catering experience for the delegatesWork in partnership with the VP Logistics to ensure procurement of suppliers achieved for full event requirementsEnsure effective control and monitoring of health and safety standards at the eventContinually provide the best possible customer services for our sponsors and visitorsManaging Event Operations Executive and offering guidance and trainingValued skillsHealth & Safety training including IOSH qualification, preferableOutstanding attention to detail and accuracyStrong planning and project management skillsAble to think creatively and come up with bespoke ideasTechnical expertise and problem solving skillsNegotiation and financial management skillsExcellent time management and ability to prioritise own workloadEnthusiastic and flexible team player, who is calm under pressureA passion for customer serviceEffective communication skills
