Job Description Senior Event Sales Executive

I am excited to be working with this Conference and Events Venue who are currently seeking a Senior Event Sales Executive to join their growing and friendly team and take responsibility for converting incoming event enquiries and generating new business. This role is perfect for someone with a proactive approach to venues sales and who is keen to sell, whilst working with the rest of team.
Please note this role offers hybrid working after probation!
What does the role entail?
- As a Senior Event Sales Executive you will report to the Sales Manager and be responsible handling incoming enquiries for a variety of external events including conferences, meetings, private and social events .
- Drive revenue through converting enquiries and upselling the events.
- Managing client relationships from initial enquiry and liaising post event.
- Working with the rest of the sales team to create new ideas to bring on new business
- Plan the events ensuring the clients brief and requirements are met.
- Prepare final event details for the operational team.
- Conduct client site visits and show rounds.
- Supporting the junior members of team on ad hoc basis
- Be proactive, looking at new and lapsed data.
Skills and Experience
- Experience within event sales from a venue or hotel background is essential
- Reactive and proactive event sales experience
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Respond politely and in a timely fashion to external customers
