Job Description - Senior EY Practitioner / Deputy Room Leader
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Early Years Practitioner / Deputy Room Lead to join a well-established private nursery in Deptford, within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional looking to take on greater responsibility within a room and play an active role in supporting the wider nursery team. You will be:

Supporting the Room Leader with the effective day-to-day running of the room
*
Taking responsibility for the room in the Room Leader’s absence
*
Helping to lead, support and motivate the wider Early Years team
*
Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
*
Supporting children's individual learning, development and wellbeing
*
Acting as a key person and maintaining strong relationships with children and their families
*
Completing observations, assessments and learning records to support children's progress
*
Promoting high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and quality of care
*
Contributing to a positive, inclusive and stimulating nursery environment
*
Supporting the Room Leader and management team with the continued development of the setting
The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification and have solid experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting. You will have a strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development, alongside the confidence to support colleagues and take on additional responsibilities. Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills are essential.
Salary: £27,686–£31,143 depending on weekly hours Working pattern: Four-day working week available Benefits: Excellent professional development, training and employee benefits
