The Opportunity

A leading education provider in South East London is seeking an experienced Estates Operations Manager to oversee facilities operations across multiple college sites. This is a pivotal role within the Estates team, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all Hard and Soft FM services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day facilities operations, including repairs, maintenance, and statutory compliance
• Ensure all works meet relevant legislation and industry standards (e.g., Building Regs, Health & Safety, CDM)
• Maintain compliance aligned with SFG20 and BSRIA recommendations
• Provide hands-on support for minor repairs and asset management
• Manage multiple projects and priorities with resilience and professionalism
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in estates/facilities management within a complex, multi-site environment
• Strong technical knowledge of both Hard and Soft FM services
• Familiarity with statutory compliance frameworks and CDM regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Confident managing contractors and internal teams
• Health & Safety expertise essential
