Job Description
My client are a serviced office provider based in central London and are looking for a senior facilities manager to join their department. This will be the first Facilities hire within the business and will have the opportunity to run this department going forward. They have 3 buildings in central London and are growing at a quick pace with the view of opening more buildings in the UK and abroad.
Duties but not limited to:
Overseeing the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.
Ensuring the facility meets health and safety standards.
Managing the third-party contractors within the buildings
Coordinating office moves
Ensuring efficient use of space to meet organisational needs.
Managing HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
Ensuring that all systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Conducting regular safety inspections and drills.
Developing and managing the facilities budget.
Managing relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
Planning and overseeing facility-related projects, such as renovations or new constructions.
Coordinating with architects, engineers, and construction teams.
Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
The ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related role.
Ideally having worked in high-end hospitality or a member’s club
Ideally qualification in Health and Safety or Facilities Management or related qualification.
Negotiation skills to negotiate contracts and manage projects, building projects, renovations or refurbishments
Proven experience in managing building operations and maintenance.
Good verbal and written communication
Experience of liaising, supervising and monitoring contractors and suppliers
