The Opportunity

My client, a well-established financial services advisory firm, needs a Finance Systems Specialist to join their Application Support function. This is a brilliant role for someone with strong Sage Intacct and Concur experience who wants to take ownership of finance systems in a growing business.

You'll be the go-to person for all finance system issues, working closely with Finance teams and IT to keep their Microsoft/Azure environment running smoothly. Great opportunity to get involved in projects and really make an impact.

What You'll Be Doing

Day-to-Day

• Troubleshoot and fix issues with Sage Intacct, Concur, and other finance systems
• Handle user access requests and system configurations
• Run daily checks on data integrity and system processes
• Support month-end/year-end activities when systems need to be rock solid
• Work with Finance teams to understand what they need from the systems

Projects & Development

• Lead system upgrades and new feature rollouts
• Get involved in integration work between different platforms
• Help with vendor selection when they're looking at new tools
• Document processes and train users on system changes

The Technical Bit

• Manage system configurations, user permissions, and security settings
• Monitor performance and fix bottlenecks
• Work with the Software Engineering team on integrations
• Support audits by providing system evidence and documentation

What You Need

Must Haves:

• Hands-on technical experience with Sage Intacct and Concur (not just using them, but configuring/administering)
• Solid understanding of finance processes - GL, AP/AR, expense management, financial reporting
• Experience leading system implementations or major upgrades
• Strong Excel skills and ideally some PowerBI experience
• Project management experience - you'll be juggling multiple things
• Good communication skills - you'll be dealing with Finance teams who aren't technical

Nice to Haves:

• Professional Services background
• Accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc.)
• Experience with integration platforms like Workato
• Some SQL knowledge for reporting
• Azure/Microsoft 365 admin experience
• ITSM/ITIL framework knowledge
