Senior Finance Assistant

Sherborne - Full-time, office-based: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:15pm (1-hour lunch)

Are you a detail-driven finance professional with a practice background, looking for something a little different?
Our client is seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to join their close-knit team. This is a rare opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting diverse business interests.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll take ownership of day-to-day finance operations across a variety of entities, including those in the financial consultancy and property sectors. Your responsibilities will include:

• Full bookkeeping through to management accounts and financial statements
• Preparing VAT returns and managing fixed asset registers
• Weekly payment runs and bank reconciliations
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Producing insightful reports and forecasts
• Getting involved in ad hoc projects and providing cover for colleagues when needed

What We're Looking For:

• AAT Level 4 qualified with relevant practice experience
• Strong understanding of VAT and accounting software
• A proactive, organised individual who thrives in a busy environment
• A team player with integrity, discretion, and excellent communication skills
