Salary: Up to £37,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday (8:00-16:00 or 8:30-16:30), Friday early finish at 14:30

Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing business in the Kirkby area in their search for an enthusiastic and versatile Finance Assistant to join their small, close-knit finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a varied and hands-on role, ideally suited to someone who enjoys a broad remit and can manage their own workload effectively. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to take real ownership of key finance functions and become a valued part of a supportive team.

• Credit control (approx. 15% of the role)

• Managing the purchase ledger

• Bank reconciliations across three accounts

• Preparing daily movement reports for invoice factoring

• Reconciling company credit card transactions

• Coding and posting staff expenses to the nominal ledger

• Vetting account applications using CreditSafe

• Setting up new customer and supplier accounts

• Managing monthly customer payment runs (circa £1 million)

• Ensuring timely salary payments (payroll outsourced; 60 employees)

• Sending monthly customer statements

• Using Sage 200, Excel, and Word daily

• Reporting daily banking figures to the Finance Director

• Preparing recharge invoices for sister companies

• Supporting VAT audit processes

• Raising customer rebates

• General ad hoc finance and office duties

• Competitive salary of up to £33,000 (depending on experience)

• Early Friday finishes
