Location: Central London (Bank Station)
Type: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid
Salary: Up to £40,000

I am supporting an established accountancy practice firm to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant to join their internal finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support daily finance operations and act as a key contact for internal finance-related queries across the firm.

• Support the month-end process, including journals and reporting to senior management
• Complete daily bank reconciliations and maintain the cashbook
• Post transactions from online banking and distribute daily banking reports
• Prepare and distribute monthly WIP and Aged Debt reports
• Update monthly departmental and committee spend reports
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements
• Produce and issue quarterly payroll bills
• Review staff expenses and upload for weekly payment runs
• Oversee the purchase ledger, resolve supplier queries, and ensure timely payments
• Assist with the administration of the tax enquiry protection scheme
• Support client account functions and help improve internal processes
• Provide cover for team members during busy periods or absences

• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Experience in an internal finance role
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
• Clear communicator with a proactive approach
• Able to manage your own workload and assist with ad-hoc duties
