Senior Finance Assistant

NLB Solutions are working with a large business to recruit for a new senior finance assistant that is able to support to the Finance Manager through day-to-day finance operations, including general accounting, sales and general ledger support, month-end reporting, and internal control ownership, whilst ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders. The role will require someone that is immediately available and has experience of working at this level already and commit to the role over 18 months.

Duties:

* Monthly closing journal preparation and posting.

* Management of monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.

* Preparation of reporting to group company.

* Management of Fixed Assets (recording of additions and disposals, monthly reconciliations, annual verifications).

* Perform compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data.

* Manage the preparation of budget reporting to internal stakeholders.

* Business Partnering and collaboration with internal and external business partners (both financial and non-financial).

* Maintain accurate finance records and ensure supporting documentation is stored appropriately.

* Support general finance administration (AP invoice, AR Credit processing)

Person Spec:

* Higher secondary education, apprenticeship in finance/accounting or equivalent experience.

* Relevant experience in finance & accounting

* Commercial finance experience, preferably in a Sales or Marketing-related environment.

* Solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.

* Experience working with SAP/SAP B1. (desirable)

* Strong command of the English language
