Senior Finance Business Partner - Retail Operations

The Role

• Serve as the primary finance partner to regional and retail ops leaders.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for national retail operations.
• Deliver weekly performance analysis on stores, labour, and margins with actionable insights.
• Participate in performance reviews, driving data-led operational decisions.
• Support strategic projects such as pricing, store formats, and customer experience.
• Provide scenario modelling and evaluate investments in operational/capital projects.
• Manage and develop a team of finance analysts.
• Present financial insights to senior leadership to influence strategic direction.

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience.
• Background in multi-site retail, hospitality, or consumer services is highly advantageous.
• Experience partnering closely with operations or regional leadership teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Confident communicator with strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence decisions through data.
• Experience managing or mentoring finance team members.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; able to work across large, complex datasets.
• Comfortable operating in a business undergoing transformation, with a hands-on and pragmatic mindset.
