Senior Finance Business Partner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially astute Senior Finance Business Partner to join a forward-thinking organisation at a pivotal time of growth and transformation. This strategic role will directly support senior leadership, offering deep financial insight and performance analysis to drive profitability, optimise cash flow, and improve EBITDA margins across multiple UK and Irish business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnering
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders, offering guidance on cost savings, operational efficiency, and performance enhancement.
  • Collaborate with leadership and site management to develop sound business plans aligned with strategic objectives.
• Financial Planning & Reporting
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment between operational plans and financial goals.
  • Produce insightful monthly reporting packs linking financial outcomes to key business drivers.
  • Work closely with financial controllers to ensure accuracy and clarity in performance reporting.
• Performance & Profitability Analysis
  • Analyse revenue streams and identify underperforming areas, recommending and supporting corrective actions.
  • Monitor KPIs, margins, and operational performance to support continuous improvement.
• Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
  • Lead forecasting and working capital optimisation initiatives.
  • Support operational teams in improving debtor management, inventory control, and payment term efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CA or equivalent)
• 12+ years' experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior business partnering or strategic finance role.
• Experience working within service based industry.
• Strong track record of influencing senior leadership and delivering commercial insights.
• Advanced financial planning, analysis, and forecasting skills.
• Demonstrated experience in working capital and performance improvement initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
• Willingness to travel regularly across UK and Ireland sites.
