Senior Finance Manager

London Office Hybrid (2-3 days on site)

DNA is partnered with an expanding pharma based in the UK expanding their finance team. You will be working with the European function developing the finance team and managing the current team and projects.

Line management experience is needed.

Role Overview:
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the creation and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Perform financial analyses to aid in strategic decision-making and planning.
Track and evaluate financial performance in comparison to budgets and forecasts.
Financial Reporting:
Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with GAAP standards.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and reviews.
Cash Flow Oversight:
Supervise cash flow and liquidity to maintain financial stability.
Manage working capital, including overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory levels.
Accounting and Regulatory Compliance:
Direct daily accounting operations, including the general ledger, payroll, and expense processing.
Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Develop and enforce internal controls to protect company assets.
Leadership and Team Development:
Guide and mentor the finance and accounting team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Provide opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement for team members.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (ACCA, CA, CMA) preferred.
At least 6-9 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Deep understanding of local GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in SAP / SAP HANA and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with senior management, team members, and external parties.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
