Base Salary: £44,184.00

Top Point Salary: £47,262.00

Summary

Responsibilities

• Offer expert financial advice and support to Education and Schools services.
  
  


• Assist in budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial planning.
  
  


• Prepare and maintain financial reports, management information, and performance data.
  
  


• Coordinate financial reconciliations and support year-end accounting processes.
  
  


• Accurately complete statutory and departmental financial returns within deadlines.
  
  


• Address and resolve financial queries from schools, service managers, and stakeholders.
  
  

Experience

• Government experience is mandatory; candidates without it will not be considered.
  
  


• Experience in financial accounting, management accounting, or finance business partnering functions.
  
  


• Skilled in budget monitoring, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
  
  

Qualifications

• A qualification in Finance, Accountancy, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  
  


• An AAT qualification or part-qualified accountancy status is beneficial.
  
  

Additional Information

• Working hours are from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
  
  


• The base salary is £44,184.00, with a top point salary of £47,262.00.
  
  


• This is a permanent position with a negotiable start date. Interviews will take place the week starting 2nd November 2026.
  
  


• The role requires regular on-site attendance, at least once a week.
  
  


• Payment is made bi-weekly.
