A Senior Finance Officer / Accountant is required to join a scientific research facility based in Oxford! 

The Role
 
The Senior Finance Officer / Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, driving financial strategies, managing risks and ensuring compliance. The Senior Finance Officer, will have experience working within an academic environment and will be responsible for the line management of the Finance Assistant.

The Finance Manager will take on the day-to-day management of all general bookkeeping and financial procedures for my client. This will include tasks such as payroll, reviewing recharged costs, expense forms, adjustments, and journals. The Finance Manager will be responsible for aiding in financial reporting and managing of budgets, working closely with Managers on multiple ongoing projects.

What’s required of the Senior Finance Officer?

• • Previous commercial experience as a Finance Manager / Accountant
  • Experience managing large budgets within an academic environment
  • Any experience working within the scientific industry would really set your application apart
  • Experience with Xero would be looked upon favourably
