Senior Financial Accountant

$200m investment in to this Cambridge based Med Tech organisation has launched them in to their next phase of growth which means entering in to new lucrative markets and a reorganisation of the finance department. You will be responsible for the financial reporting of the European entities ensuring controls are in place and reports produced. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has qualified from a big four practice firm and is looking to gain 4 years experience in 18 months.

Rapidly growing Med Tech based in Cambridge. Offers Hybrid working. They are restructuring the finance function to accommodate the move in to new markets.

As senior Financial Accountant you will:

• Manage the month-end and year-end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS / US GAAP / Local GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, prepayments and accruals.
• Ensure proper intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records for multiple legal entities.
• Support consolidation of financial statements, working with the tax team and business finance team as needed.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies
• Act as the key finance contact for external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
• Support the finance team in preparing tax-related financial disclosures.

This role requires a technically strong ACA / ACCA qualified accountant. It is likely you will have gained your qualification with one of the Big 4 accountancy firms. You will have strong communication skills and strong problem solving abilities.

£60,000 to £65,000 plus benefits
