Senior Financial Analyst

My prestigious client, a major international financial services organisation, requires an experienced Senior Financial Analyst for an immediate 12-month assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market-leading company offering genuine exposure to senior stakeholders and complex financial operations.

You'll play a crucial part in financial reporting, analysis, and business support activities. Working within a dynamic finance team, you'll be responsible for statutory reporting, reconciliations, and providing analytical insights that drive business decisions across multiple divisions.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting
• Conduct comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
• Support annual statutory accounts preparation and audit processes
• Perform detailed financial analysis including variance reporting and forecasting
• Collaborate with internal audit teams and external auditors
• Develop business cases and cost-benefit analysis for strategic projects
• Support VAT submissions and regulatory compliance requirements
• Provide cross-functional business partnering and financial insights

• ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified (or finalist level)
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS reporting standards
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis
• Experience with statutory accounts and audit environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication skills with ability to present to senior management
• Proactive approach with attention to detail

• £55,000 - £60,000 (pro-rata for contract duration)
• 12-month contract with potential for extension
• Hybrid working (2 days office-based in modern Milton Keynes location)
