Our client, a prestigious global law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Crime Adviser to join its London Risk function on a fixed-term basis.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial crime professional to join a sophisticated global Risk team in a senior advisory capacity. The successful candidate will provide specialist support across AML, counter-terrorist financing and sanctions matters, while also contributing to the development of the firm's wider financial crime framework.
The role offers extensive exposure to complex international regulatory issues and senior stakeholders across the UK, US and EMEA.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing practical guidance to lawyers and business teams on AML, financial crime and sanctions-related matters Handling complex sanctions queries involving multiple international regulatory regimes Reviewing higher-risk client and matter issues and advising on appropriate risk management measures Acting as a senior point of support for unusual or sensitive financial crime referrals Contributing to the development and enhancement of the firm's financial crime policies, procedures and controls Supporting major regulatory change projects and ensuring internal frameworks remain aligned with evolving requirements Undertaking risk reviews and identifying weaknesses or areas requiring further control Developing proportionate remediation plans in response to identified financial crime risks or incidents Supporting investigations into financial crime concerns and ensuring lessons learned are reflected in future processes Preparing documentation and supporting information for regulatory reviews and audits Working closely with senior stakeholders across the firm's international Risk functionsRequirements
At least four years' experience within a regulated financial crime, AML, sanctions or related risk environment Strong technical knowledge of AML and financial crime regulationVacancy Highlights
