Senior Fire & Security Service & Installation Engineer

Location: West & North West London
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Basic (DOE)

The Opportunity

A well-established and expanding Fire & Security company is seeking an experienced Senior Fire & Security Engineer to join its growing engineering team. The successful candidate will take ownership of service, maintenance, fault finding, small works and installation projects across a portfolio of commercial sites throughout West and North West London. This role is suited to an engineer who can work independently, provide technical support where required, and consistently deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

The Role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding, commissioning and carrying out small installation works across a range of fire and security systems. You will work on both planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs, ensuring systems remain compliant and fully operational. The role will also involve completing commissioning where required, accurately recording all work carried out, and building strong relationships with clients while representing the business professionally.

Requirements

Applicants should have at least five years' experience within the Fire & Security industry and be confident working independently across service, maintenance, fault finding and installations. A strong working knowledge of commercial fire alarm, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems is essential. Previous commissioning experience would be advantageous, along with excellent fault-finding abilities and a customer-focused approach. A full UK driving licence is required, and engineers must be willing to participate in a 1-in-5 call-out rota.

Salary & Package

* Basic salary of £45,000-£50,000 depending on experience.

* Monday to Friday working hours with flexibility around start and finish times.

* Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours, with double time available depending on when overtime is worked.

* 1-in-5 call-out rota with standby payments of £25 per weekday, £50 per weekend day and £100 per Bank Holiday.

* Company vehicle provided with fuel card and reasonable personal use permitted.

* 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.

Experience with a range of industry-leading systems is desirable, including:

* Fire alarm systems

* Paxton

* Texecom

* Galaxy

* Hikvision

* Kentec

Experience with other leading manufacturers will also be considered.
