Job Description - Senior Fire Commissioning/Project Engineer

  • Strong experience in commissioning large networked addressable fire alarm system
  • Covering London & Home Counties
  • To 55k Basic + Benefits
Pay offer £45k -£55k
Must have
  • In-depth knowledge of BS 5839-1
  • Strong experience in commissioning large networked addressable fire alarm systems
  • Ability to fault-find and resolve complex issues across multiple system types
  • Competent with cause-and-effect testing, loop load calculations, and integration with other systems
  • Proficiency in using commissioning software tools and configuring control panels
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, consultants, and end-users
  • Ability to lead a small team of engineers and mentor junior staff
  • Proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills
  • Capable of attending client/site meetings and providing technical updates
  • Level 3 qualification in fire alarm systems
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Nice to have
  • FIA Units (Advanced Design, Installation, Commissioning desirable
  • ECS/CSCS card (Gold/Black level preferred.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS Health and Safety certification.
  • Familiar with site-based H&S procedures and ensuring compliance.
  • Experience preparing project programmes, RAMS, and commissioning plans
