Senior Fire Engineer

A forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a skilled Senior Fire Engineer to join their London team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Fire Engineer to take the lead on technically complex projects across a mix of commercial, residential, and public sector schemes throughout London.

The Senior Fire Engineer will be responsible for producing and reviewing detailed fire strategies, liaising with design teams, and ensuring compliance with UK fire regulations and codes including BS 9991, BS 9999, and ADB. The role will involve managing client relationships, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to internal QA processes.

The successful Senior Fire Engineer will work closely with architects, contractors, and approval bodies to deliver high-standard fire safety solutions from design through to post-occupancy stages.

• Degree qualified in Fire Engineering or related subject

• 5+ years' consultancy experience in the fire engineering field

• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and fire codes

• Experience with FDS, CFD modelling, and evacuation analysis (preferred)

• Able to manage projects independently and provide mentorship

• Member of the IFE or working towards Chartered status

• £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

• Hybrid working model with London project exposure

• Structured progression to Principal or Associate level
