Senior Firmware Engineer

YT Tech is recruiting on behalf of a premier defence and aerospace technology company to find a skilled FPGA / Firmware Engineer. Joining their dynamic R&D division, you will help design, verify, and integrate advanced embedded solutions for high-performance applications globally.

The Role

*

Design, verify, and debug embedded system and sub-system components.

*

Contribute to cutting-edge RF Signal Processing using modern FPGA technologies.

*

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (RF, DSP, Hardware) to integrate firmware seamlessly.

*

Develop test strategies for verification and full production testing.

*

Assist in capturing technical requirements and liaise with key technology suppliers.

Requirements

*

Proven background in FPGA and/or embedded firmware development across the full lifecycle.

*

Experience integrating, understanding, and debugging third-party RTL.

*

Strong skills debugging full embedded architectures (hardware, processor software, and FPGA firmware).

*

Analytical mindset with practical problem-solving ability in cross-functional engineering teams.

*

Must be eligible for UK Security Vetting (BPSS minimum required; UK residency rules apply).
