Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer

My client, a diverse, sustainably-minded Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their already-established team of expert engineers, near the unofficial capital of Yorkshire, Leeds.

Essential Criteria:

• A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, or other similar discipline
• Extensive experience of working with flood risk and drainage strategies
• Demonstrable experience of producing Flood Risk Reports, Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and working with Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
• Outstanding working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.)
• Knowledge of the relevant software packages, including TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, etc.
• Experience of working with a team of diverse individuals, providing mentorship and leadership to junior colleagues
• Demonstrable experience of developing and managing stakeholder relations with a range of clients

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to have the following:

• Experience of managing teams and/or projects
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant 3D design software
• Good time management skills
• Excellent communication skills

• Reviewing and approving accurate technical information, including calculations, drawings, and models
• Overseeing and managing stakeholder relations
• Undertaking site meetings and inspections
