Senior Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for highly motivated Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our development team as we build the latest innovation Fibre Cafe, a unified API to the UK’s fibre ecosystem. Being built as a cloud native serverless SaaS product on AWS.

To succeed in this role, you will be a team player with a keen eye for detail and a creative problem solver with a “get things done” attitude. You should be eager to help and share your knowledge, with the passion for learning and improving yourself and others.

Responsibilities

Understand and question the underlying business goals/requirements.
Collaborate with others through whiteboarding and pair programming sessions.
Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders and customers.
Produce clean code and practise merciless refactoring supported by unit/acceptance testing.
Deliver (design, code, deploy and monitor) high quality software.
Refactor, troubleshoot and upgrade existing software.
Offer constructive feedback to colleagues.
Receive constructive feedback with a growth mindset.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
Share your knowledge by running sessions and creating supporting documentation.
Continuously find ways to improve something, anything, everything: KAIZEN.

Experience Required

Must Have:
Experience in delivering scalable, fully tested cloud native solutions - particularly with

AWS

(API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS).
Strong functional programming skills in

Typescript

ideally with

Node.js .
Experience working with

OpenAPI

and API frameworks/automated testing tools.
Proficiency with test-driven development ( TDD ).
CI/CD

and

DevOps

practices.

Good-To-Have:
Infrastructure as Code - Terraform.
Experience of serverless event driven architecture.
Comfortable working in a behaviour driven development ( BDD ) environment.
Modern UI frameworks such as React.

Strong team player with a drive to improve both themselves and the team.
Eager to learn, help others and share knowledge.
Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
