Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Payments)

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for a payment-focused role, with strong experience in Payment Integration, who can design, build, and own revenue-critical systems in a modern, product-led engineering environment.

This is a senior-level role working on secure, scalable payment infrastructure using .NET 5/6, with exposure to major payment providers (e.g. PayPal, Stripe or similar platforms).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and implementing secure Payment Integration services using C# / .NET 5/6

• Working with major third-party payment providers (e.g. PayPal, Stripe or similar)

• Managing full transaction lifecycles (authorisation, capture, refunds, disputes)

• Implementing webhook and event-driven payment flows

• Ensuring PCI DSS awareness and secure data handling practices

• Delivering features end-to-end across backend and frontend

• Building and maintaining secure REST APIs

• Owning the full lifecycle: discovery → implementation → release → monitoring → iteration

• Writing secure, scalable, and maintainable production code

• Contributing to architectural decisions around payment reliability and resilience

• Mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Senior-level full-stack engineering experience

• Strong production experience with C# and .NET 5/6

• Experience integrating with payment providers (e.g. PayPal, Stripe or similar platforms)

• Understanding of PCI DSS principles and secure data handling

• Solid web fundamentals (HTTP, REST, authentication, performance, security)

• Experience designing APIs and integrating third-party systems

• Ability to work independently with high accountability and ownership

• Clear communicator across product, design, and stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience in high-transaction or fintech environments

• Experience with queues or event-driven systems

• Experience working across multiple backend technologies

• Passion for engineering quality and pragmatic decision-making
