Job Description - Senior Hardware Engineer - Product Redesign & High Speed Digital (x86)
Are you an electronics hardware engineer who wants hands-on access to the very newest generation of Intel silicon?
Our client has delivered high-performance embedded computing solutions across defence, telecoms, aerospace and more for decades, delivering best-in-class solutions that allow the latest generations of compute power to exist in the harshest of environments.
The Role Once a product ships, someone owns it for the rest of its life. That's this role.
The early product hardware team spend six months to two years taking a product from spec to market; once it's out in the field, you take over. You'll solve the problems production and customers uncover, stay ahead of component obsolescence, and evolve the board to keep it competitive for years to come.
It means working on today's most advanced compute technology without the year-or-two design grind to get there. Every product you touch is already proven in the field, so you're solving real problems, not theoretical ones. Your candid feedback and collaborative spirit will help evolve hardware methodologies to keep mission-critical systems at the leading edge.
This is a hands-on role with a lot of lab work. You'll be as comfortable with an oscilloscope and logic analyser as you are at a screen, so it's an office-based role, though there is flexibility when life requires, or on the rare occasions when you don’t need access to the products, and the oscilloscope.
