As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you'll promote a proactive safety culture, support staff across departments, and play a key role in developing effective policies, audits, and emergency responses. You'll also have the opportunity to specialise in areas like biological or chemical safety, machinery, events, or disability adjustments.

• Provide expert advice on health and safety to leaders and teams across multiple departments.

• Lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

• Develop and implement clear policies, procedures, and training aligned with legal requirements.

• Act as the lead advisor in specialist areas such as chemical safety, machinery, events, or radiation.

• Support, mentor, and manage junior advisors ensuring task allocation, performance, and development.

• Collaborate with external bodies like the HSE and emergency services as needed.

• Contribute to emergency planning and health and safety strategy development.

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), with a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

• IOSH membership and proven experience in complex, multi-risk environments.

• Strong communication and training skills-able to engage all levels of staff.

• Ability to translate legal and technical requirements into accessible guidance.

• Experience supervising or mentoring others and fostering team development.

• High attention to detail, with practical, people-focused problem solving.
