Aqumen Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing business based in Dewsbury, who are seeking a proactive and driven Senior Health & Safety Co-Ordinator to join their team.

Role Overview:

As Senior H&S Co-Ordinator, you’ll be the key figure in driving health & safety excellence across the site. You’ll work closely with leadership and the wider team to embed best practices, ensure compliance, and foster a positive safety culture.

? Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the H&S department
• Ensure policies, procedures & safety standards are up to date and compliant
• Develop and deliver Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and SOPs
• Investigate and report on incidents, accidents and near misses
• Carry out risk assessments, audits, inspections, and training
• Manage site inductions and EH&S committee meetings
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing KPIs
• Advise on best practices and drive behavioural safety culture

? The Ideal Candidate:

• GradIOSH or higher
• Relevant degree or equivalent H&S qualifications
• Proven H&S experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting
• Hands-on, approachable and confident engaging with teams at all levels
• Up-to-date knowledge of H&S legislation and trends
• Strong IT and reporting skills (MS Office proficient)
• Bonus: Environmental experience

• Days-based role: Mon–Thurs 9am–4.45pm, Fri 9am–3.45pm
