Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for a senior position where you can have a real influence on standards, culture and performance?
I’m currently recruiting for an established business looking to appoint a Health & Safety Lead to provide strategic guidance and leadership across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will come from a rail, infrastructure, construction or similarly high-risk environment and will have the experience and confidence to operate at a senior level, working closely with operational teams, project leaders and senior management.
This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to move beyond a purely site-based position and have a wider impact on how Health & Safety is managed across the business.

Provide professional H&S advice, support and guidance to operational and project teams Provide strategic H&S advice to senior leaders Help develop and deliver the Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy Drive improvements in safety culture and standards across the business Lead and support the wider H&S team Monitor performance, trends and emerging risks Lead risk-based assurance programmes, audits and inspections Support internal, client and regulatory audits Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and procedures Lead investigations into significant incidents and high-potential events What are they looking for?
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Strong Health & Safety experience within rail, infrastructure, construction or another comparable high-risk environment Previous experience working at a senior H&S level Strong understanding of H&S legislation, management systems and industry standards Experience leading investigations, audits, inspections and assurance activities Experience mentoring, managing or developing other H&S professionals would be advantageous This is a great opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional who is ready to take on more responsibility and have a genuine influence on Health & Safety strategy, culture and performance.
