Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £14.09 - £14.20 per hour (depending on experience)
Enhancements: +20% for weekends and overtime, +30% for bank holidays
Contract: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Will include weekends and bank holidays
Required: Level 3 in Health and Social Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join a specialist neurological care centre in Hitchin. You’ll work in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, helping to deliver person-centred care while providing guidance and mentoring to junior care staff.

• Delivering and overseeing high-quality, holistic care to service users

• Supporting the emotional and social needs of individuals with a range of neurological conditions

• Supervising and mentoring junior team members, supporting their development

• Promoting independence, choice, and dignity in every aspect of care

• Assisting with audits, care planning, and continuous service improvements

• Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and health regulations

• Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (essential)

• At least 2 years of relevant care experience

• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

• Competence with basic IT systems and documentation

• Coaching or mentoring experience (or willingness to develop in this area)
