Job Description - Senior HR Advisor

3-month contract with a Local Authority

Umbrella Pay Rate: £28.61 per hour umbrella

37 hours per week

Summary

We are looking for a skilled Senior HR Advisor to join our team on a 3-month contract with a Local Authority. This role involves providing expert HR guidance and support on various employee relations and organizational change issues. You will work within a business partnering model, handling complex HR cases, assisting managers with organizational changes and TUPE processes, and contributing to strategic workforce initiatives.

Responsibilities

Handle a range of complex HR cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, capability issues, sickness absences, redundancies, and organizational changes.

Offer professional HR advice and guidance to managers, ensuring adherence to employment laws, policies, and best practices.

Assist in planning and executing organizational change projects, restructures, and TUPE transfers.

Provide coaching, training, and support to managers on employee relations and people management issues.

Produce and analyze workforce data to identify trends and support workforce planning through management information and reporting.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in providing HR advisory support within a complex organization.

Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases independently.

Experience in supporting organizational change, restructuring, and TUPE activities.

Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience.

CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent professional experience; CIPD Level 7 qualification is desirable.

Must have a valid driving license.

Additional Information:

Working hours: 37 hours per week.

Hybrid working arrangement: On-site 2-3 days per week.

Contract duration: Until the end of April 2027.

Payment is on a bi-weekly schedule.

Umbrella pay rate: £28.61 per hour.
