New year, new job. Are you a Senior Hydrogeologist looking to take a leading role within a technically strong consultancy while remaining anchored to a Shrewsbury base? This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Hydrogeologist to combine hands-on project delivery, mentoring responsibility and strategic input within a respected environmental team.

You will be joining a specialist contaminated land and hydrogeology team based in Shrewsbury, working closely with local colleagues while supporting projects across the UK. The role offers exposure to water resources, land development, contaminated land and landfill schemes, delivering high-quality science-led solutions wherever clients require support.

The role

As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you will lead hydrogeology projects from inception through to completion while supporting team development and service growth.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing hydrogeology projects and maintaining strong client relationships
* Developing conceptual site models, groundwater models and risk assessments
* Interpreting large datasets and delivering technically robust advice
* Supporting water resources, environmental and land development projects
* Preparing and reviewing technical reports in line with legislation and best practice
* Mentoring junior staff and supporting professional development
* Contributing to business development within your technical specialism

About you

This role suits an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist ready to lead.

You will ideally have:

* Chartered status with a relevant professional body
* A degree in Hydrogeology or a related discipline
* Strong field experience including monitoring, sampling and testing
* Experience with analytical and numerical groundwater models
* Excellent client, project and stakeholder management skills
