They are actively seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller with extensive knowledge of, and experience with, flood risk, drainage, and/or Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). You should be willing to take on a diverse array of challenging projects whilst heading-up an already-established team of design professionals in the green, historical town of Hemel Hempstead.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller include:
Overseeing the preparation, amendment, and submission of technical documents, ,such as tenders, Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Drainage Assessment Reports, calculations, and models Identifying business development opportunities, and proactively working with prospective clients to win new projects Managing client and stakeholder relations, across the public and private sectors Managing people and projects at all stages of the process, from initial inception through to successful delivery, adhering to budgetary, resourcing, and timeframe restrictions Adhering to industry standards, procedures, and guidelines at all times, including strict health and safety regulations Overseeing colleagues' Continuing Professional Development (CPD) within the companyRequired skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller include:
A Degree in Hydrology or Civil Engineering (or a similar, relevant field) Hold Chartered Status with a recognised, relevant professional body/institute (e.g., CIWEM) Demonstrable experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK-based consultancy or local authority setting Excellent working knowledge of a range of relevant software packages, such as Flood Modeller, AutoCAD, WinDES, WINFAP, HEC-RAS, FEH, etc. Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Extensive experience of liaising closely with a range of clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectorsDesirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydrologist/Flood Modeller include:
A Master's Degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant discipline Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (to include Word, Excel, etc.) Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
