This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for secure government and defence programmes. Due to the nature of the work, current UK eDV clearance is essential . The Role As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, deployment and support of secure infrastructure solutions across complex programmes. Working within an Agile environment, you'll help maintain operational systems while contributing to the delivery of new capabilities. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain and support secure infrastructure and operational systems. Perform system administration, backup and recovery activities. Investigate and resolve infrastructure, network and application issues. Support system installation, maintenance and ongoing improvements. Research and resolve complex technical and system design challenges. Translate technical requirements into robust infrastructure solutions. Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to deliver successful outcomes. About you We're looking for candidates with experience in some or several of the following areas: Essential Skills: Experience working within Agile, Scrum or DevOps environments. Strong background in infrastructure or systems engineering across the full project lifecycle. Linux administration and deployment. Experience supporting enterprise server, storage and desktop infrastructure. Ability to take ownership of technical work packages and collaborate with project teams. Understanding of large-scale, secure information systems. Desirable Skills Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS Windows Server and Active Directory VMware vSphere / ESXi Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) Docker and Kubernetes AWS and/or Azure Atlassian toolset Concourse CI/CD Elasticsearch / Kibana Apache Kafka Helm MongoDB Enterprise web applications and services TOGAF, MODAF or model-based systems engineering Networking monitoring and Red Hat migrations What's on Offer Excellent salary, bonuses and comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to work on cutting-edge national security and defence programmes Long-term career development within a growing engineering environment Relocation package available (up to £8k) Please note: Due to the sensitive nature of the work, applicants must hold current UK eDV Security Clearance to be considered.
