Sellick Partnership are seeking a Senor Internal Auditor for our Public Sector client in Derbyshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Internal Auditor who is looking to work with a forard-thinking council.

Job Purpose:

• To manage, develop, and continuously improve the audit team.
• To support the development of strong risk, corporate governance, and assurance arrangements for each council within the Consortium
• To ensure that all aspects of the Global Internal Audit Standards are met.

Key responsibilities - Senior Auditor:

• To undertake audits
• To act as the key contact of the Internal Audit Consortium
• To review the audit work completed by the Auditors
• Day-to-day supervision
• To attend close-out meetings with auditors
• Prepare monthly/quarterly work plans for your team
• Undertake and supervise special investigations

The ideal candidate:

• Must be in the office 2 to 3 days a week (Chesterfield, Derbyshire)
• Experience auditing a variety of non-financial systems such as safeguarding, health & safety, gas servicing, performance targets, data protection, risk management etc
• Able to report to the Audit Committee
• Experience managing staff
