Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Global manufacturing company based in Heidelberg, Germany is looking for a permanent on-site Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer.

2 days remote working per week

(Key Duties)

• Creation, conception and implementation of a holistic IT infrastructure and security strategy
• Conducting risk analysis and assessment, as well as creating and implementing recommendations as part of the company's IT strategy
• Coordination and administration for the IT infrastructure sector
• Support, configuration and monitoring, as well as the continuous development of the existing IT infrastructure
• Administration and operation of various components such as Active Directory, Exchange Online, cloud interfaces and back-up system
• Planning and execution of projects in coordination with specialist departments
• Coordination of suppliers

(Skills Required)

• Good experience in the field of IT infrastructure and network
• In-depth knowledge of firewalls, networks, servers, databases, cloud technologies, virtualization solutions, workplace and telephony
• Strong problem-solving skills
• High degree of independence, self-motivation and hands-on mentality
• Very good communication and teamwork skills
• Fluent English mandatory. German speaking at least to B2 level required.
