Hybrid Working – 3 Days in the office per week

Salary range: £80,000 - £90,000

Are you a highly experienced senior software engineer with expertise Java, Spring boot, AWS and Terraform?

Looking for a hybrid working role where you can be in the office a few days per week collaborating with other developers?

SR2 are partnered with an exciting new client based in central Manchester, they are a smaller sized business but well established and stable. The client are looking to recruit a Senior Java Software Engineer to lead the development on platform engineering for their Java-based backend.

You’ll be helping to expand their infrastructure-as-code, and working as a strong advocate of DevOps principals – so experience with AWS and Terraform would be a big preference.

We’re looking for someone who also enjoys mentoring and supporting less experienced developers, to support with their progression – whilst this isn’t a “managerial” type of role, we are looking for someone who can mentor.

If you are someone who has experience leading on projects, building and architecting a Java-based platform all whilst collaborating with developers, designers, stakeholders and can take ownership of new feature development then you are exactly who we’re looking for!

Technologies in use: Java, Spring boot, AWS, Terraform, Docker, Vue.js, TypeScript, NoSQL databases + more!

Role requirements:

• Senior/Lead experience as a Java developer using Spring boot
• Experience with AWS and Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• Ability to lead on projects and mentor less experienced engineers
• Advocate of DevOps principles
• Knowledge of NoSQL databased
• Manchester based, and can commit to 3 days per week in the office
