Job Description - Senior Legal Cashier

Legal Cashier Team Leader | Permanent | Full time | Blackburn | Office | Up to £32k

Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Cashier to step into a leadership role and make a real impact. You’ll bring your expertise and knowledge to lead and support a dedicated cashiering team, providing clear direction and guidance to help achieve departmental goals. This is a fantastic chance to combine your technical skills with team leadership in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Duties of the role

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the Cash Office team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Training, mentoring and supervising the Cash Office team to ensure high performance.
  • Promoting efficiencies and driving continuous improvement.
  • Supervision of team; including Work allocation, preparing staff rotas for fair distribution of work; ensuring all tasks are completed.
  • SAR audit lead– key point of contact for auditors.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and firmwide policies.
  • Involved in daily tasks such as daily banking functions; preparing online electronic bank transfers; bank reconciliations; processing client to office transfers; email queries.

What you'll need

To thrive in this role, you’ll need substantial experience within a legal cash office environment, along with a deep, practical understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules, accounting principles, and VAT regulations.
