Senior Legal Cashier

An established law firm in Harrogate is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Legal Cashier to take a lead role within its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal cashier who enjoys taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the cashiering function, managing workflow and supporting the development of a small team.

The Role
Lead and coordinate the work of a team of three legal cashiers, managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met.

Provide guidance, support and training to junior members of the team, helping them develop their technical knowledge and confidence.

Oversee day-to-day cashiering activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Manage client and office account transactions, including client account reconciliations and control accounts.

Oversee payments, receipts, transfers and the distribution of funds, including probate matters.

Review bank reconciliations and assist with prepayments, accruals and other financial control processes.

Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and maintain robust financial controls.

Work closely with the wider finance team and provide support and guidance where required.
The Package
Salary £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience.

Hybrid working, with two days from home.

Full-time, permanent position.

Some flexibility around working arrangements.
