Job Description - Senior Legal Counsel

Interim/FTC Senior Legal Counsel - M&A, Funding, and Investment

Are you an experienced legal professional with expertise in M&A, funding, and investment? Join client's fast-growing renewable energy business on an interim or fixed-term contract. Act quickly - this opportunity won't last long!

About the Role:

Support key corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, funding rounds, and investment activities. Work closely with senior management and external advisers to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage M&A transactions: due diligence, negotiation, documentation
  • Provide legal support for funding rounds and investments
  • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements: shareholder, purchase, joint venture
  • Advise on corporate governance and compliance
  • Collaborate with external legal advisers
  • Support asset and fund management activities
  • Oversee legal aspects of corporate projects
  • Provide strategic advice on corporate finance and investments
  • Assist with capital raising and investor relations
  • Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures
  • Assist with post-transaction integration and other projects

Location:

Based in Cheltenham, with occasional visits to our London office. Hybrid working available.

About You:

  • Qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in corporate law (M&A, funding, investment)
  • Strong experience in managing complex M&A transactions
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and high standard of service
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Sound judgement and commercial acumen
