Salary: £115,000-£130,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 4 days in the office, 1 day from home
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

We have partnered with an International Bank to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel specialising in Employment Law. Sitting within the wider Legal function, you will provide employment law advice and support across the organisation's European and Asia-Pacific operations. The role will cover a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, working closely with HR, senior business leaders and other internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

This is a broad in-house position suited to an experienced employment lawyer who is comfortable operating within a complex, highly regulated and international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic employment law advice to HR, business leaders and other internal stakeholders across Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Advise on a broad range of employment matters including hiring, contractual issues, compensation and benefits, restructuring and workforce reductions, immigration, workplace privacy, disability and human rights matters.
Manage employment-related disputes and litigation, assessing legal, regulatory and reputational risk and developing appropriate case strategies.
Lead and support complex HR and employee-related investigations.
Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments and advise the business on their potential impact.
Manage relationships with external legal counsel, including oversight of performance, strategy and costs.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Legal function on cross-border and global employment matters.
Support wider legal, regulatory and business projects as required.Requirements:

Extensive experience advising on UK employment law, gained within private practice, an in-house legal function or a combination of both.
Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
Experience managing both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Strong understanding of employment-related risk within a complex or highly regulated organisation.
Experience working across multiple jurisdictions or advising an international business.
Ability to manage multiple complex matters and competing priorities effectively.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise and influence senior colleagues across Legal, HR and the wider business.
