Senior Lighting Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to Join BEW Electrical Wholesalers to help build our new Lighting Services Department.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Lighting Design Engineer.

You'll work on a wide variety of commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential and retail projects, providing high-quality lighting designs, technical expertise and customer support that helps drive sales across the BEW branch network.

As one of the first members of the team, you'll also play an important role in establishing best practice and helping shape the future of the Lighting Services department.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Proven experience within the lighting industry in a lighting design, lighting applications, lighting sales support or similar technical role.

* Experience producing professional lighting designs using DIALux Evo or Relux lighting software.

* A strong understanding of lighting design principles, emergency lighting, lighting controls and energy-efficient lighting solutions.

* Good knowledge of current British Standards, Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and industry best practice.

* LIA Interior and/or Exterior qualifications.

* Experience using AutoCAD.

* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to work with customers, contractors, consultants, manufacturers and internal sales teams.

* A proactive, solution-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits when required.
