Senior Management Accountant - Office Based - Newcastle

A family owned business based on the outskirts of Newcastle are looking to recruit a new Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team due to growth. This is a great opportunity as the business continues to grow and expand.

The Role
The Senior Management Accountant duties will include:

• Lead the preparation and submission of accurate monthly management accounts for designated companies within the group.
• Supervise and support the Management Accounts team, ensuring adherence to deadlines and high performance standards.
• Oversee bookkeeping, cash reconciliations, and payment processes to maintain financial control.
• Manage the audit process
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems
• Partner with General Managers to interpret financial results, support performance improvement, and strengthen financial understanding at site level.
• Present financial data and insights to internal stakeholders in a clear and commercially focused manner.
• Support financial training and capability development within the Management Accounts team and across operations.
• Assist with other projects and duties as required by senior management.

The Person
The requirements for the Senior Management Accountant are:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) or QBE with substantial relevant experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and composure.
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Comfortable working collaboratively across departments and functions
• Organised and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.
