Senior Management Accountant

This Senior Management Accountant role offers full ownership of monthly financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, stock valuation, and KPI analysis, within a small, collaborative UK finance team. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives and works closely with both local operations and the wider international group.

Description

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process for the site, providing detailed variance analysis and recommendations.
• Collaborate with department heads to monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights.
• Manage and improve financial reporting systems to ensure efficiency and clarity.
• Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Support the implementation of cost control measures within the organisation.
• Ensure adherence to financial compliance and regulatory standards in all reporting activities.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members within the accounting department.

Profile

A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Experience in a similar environment
• Proven ability to work within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in managing or mentoring junior team members is desirable.
