Senior Management Accountant

My client in the technology sector is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This person will play a crucial role in the preparation, reconciliation, analysis, and commentary of monthly Management Accounts for various business units within the group.

• Prepare month-end accounts for designated business units including P&Ls, Balance Sheets, reconciliations, and variance analysis to budgets, forecasts, and prior year numbers.
• Assist with the year-end process for the group of companies and liaise with external auditors.
• Review Purchase and Sales Ledger activities, plus preparation of the Group’s VAT Returns.
• Handle internal and external queries and requests.
• Assist with the effective management of stock levels, spares, consumables, and materials ensuring all company processes and procedures are met.
• Prepare monthly reports and validate reconciliations.
• Support and assist with annual internal and external auditing.
• Provide support and mentoring to Accounts Assistants.

• Relevant accounting and financial experience.
• Strong numerical ability and data manipulation skills, particularly in Excel.
• Experience in producing Monthly Management Accounts and associated commentary.
• Familiarity with finance and operational platforms (e.g., Sage 200).
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
