Senior Management Accountant

Responsible for monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and budgeting/forecasting for a division, providing timely insight into their financial performance.

Description

• Lead all financial reporting and period-end processes for this division.
• Ensure timely, accurate production of management accounts, KPI reports, and variance analysis with clear insights.
• Work with senior finance and business leaders to prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans aligned with commercial and operational goals.
• Provide detailed financial analysis on sales, margin, and costs to support and challenge business performance.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and systems to reduce risk and support business needs.
• Oversee revenue recognition and third-party invoicing, supporting Credit Control with debt collection.
• Manage Retail and channel balance sheet items, ensuring accuracy of stock, debtors, accruals, intercompany and other key accounts.
• Support external audit processes for relevant business areas.
• Deliver additional reporting, analysis, or support as required.

Profile

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• Strong background in management accounting within the retail or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in financial systems and software applications.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Proven ability to communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders.
