Senior Management Accountant

Our client is a dynamic and fast-paced FMCG business known for its innovation, operational excellence, and strong brand presence across multiple markets. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team and support strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis and reporting.

To lead the management accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting to support operational and strategic decision-making. This role will be a key business partner to various departments, driving performance improvements and cost efficiencies across the business.

• Management Reporting:

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts with variance analysis.

  • Lead month-end close process, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.

  • Provide insightful commentary on financial performance to senior leadership.

• Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.

  • Work closely with department heads to develop, review, and challenge budgets.

• Business Partnering:

  • Act as a strategic partner to commercial, operations, and supply chain teams.

  • Provide financial support for pricing strategies, promotions, and new product launches.

• Financial Analysis:

  • Analyse product and customer profitability, margin performance, and cost drivers.

  • Conduct scenario planning, trend analysis, and financial modelling to support key decisions.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and controls.

  • Support finance transformation and system improvement projects (e.g., ERP upgrades).

• Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or management accounting role.

  • Qualified Accountant from larger business (ACCA, ACA, ACMA)

• Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
